The dent is at the bottom like shown in picture, it does not affect performance but car was getting rebuilt to go on sale and I wanted be new. Top mating surface is flat and seals correctly, from what I can tell there no rust, just some dirt. I replaced it because is dented but someone could probably use as or fix the dent. It was used for only around 1000 miles, car sat in garage most of the time.
